Location: Mission Valley YMCA
Time: 6-8pm
This week in Youth and Government we first split up into groups of 4 or 5 and began going over the bill ideas we came up with last week. We went through each person in the group and presented more ideas regarding each topic. Then a paper was passed around so each delegate could write down their favorite topics in order. Finaly, the officers split us up into 4 bill groups.
I was partnered up with Erin , Lucia, Andy, and Jeremy. Our bill is going to be about the improving the environment through making govt. buildings more energy efficient. My group discussed the idea of making it so that buildings can use natural recources such as the sun or water to keep cool during the summer and keep the cool out during winter.
I had the idea of using biomimicry. I recently learned that there was a building that was built and it's air conditioning was inspired by termite mound ventilation. Click here for the website.
