Location: Mission Valley YMCA
Time: 9am-5pm (8 hours)
Today our delegation met up at the Mission Valley YMCA during the early hours of the morning so we can begin finishing up a rough draft of our speech for bill hearing night. I am a lobbyist for my groups bill which is advocating for the partition of the state of California. Once we were done with our rough drafts we were required to go into the Y and help out with setting up a haunted house for a Y&G fundraiser.
The haunted house took a couple hours to set up but once we were done we were ready to let in the little kids. The purpose of this fundraiser was to raise money for the scholarships received by students in our delegation. We also did face painting and received a couple of generous donations for that.
Bob 1 is coming up in two weeks and I'm pretty stoked for it! SDSC is going to finally reunite after a month. The only thing I'm not really looking forward to is the food and the 9 hour bus ride, but the sessions should be good!
